Ms. Shaw is a partner in the Walnut Creek office of Garcia Shaw APC. Previously, Ms. Shaw was with McDowell Shaw & Garcia since 1998.

Ms. Shaw has been a litigation attorney handling insurance defense-related matters since 1984. Ms. Shaw has tried over 25 jury trials and more than 30 court trials in venues from San Diego and Los Angeles to the San Francisco Bay Area and Central California. Her practice includes defending insureds in personal injury and wrongful death cases arising from auto accidents, commercial trucking accidents, and general liability matters.

Ms. Shaw also handles first-party claims involving arson, burglary, theft, and coverage issues. She also litigates suspicious third-party cases involving staged accidents, medical build-up and questionable treatment. She has taken hundreds of examinations under oath.

Ms. Shaw regularly provides training to insurance company personnel throughout the United States on many topics including California Department of Insurance Regulations.

Ms. Shaw is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in California. She is a member of the Anti-Fraud Alliance, the International Association of Special Investigations Units (IASIU), the Combined Claims Conference, the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance, and the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California.
